Statement of Problem Treatment of multifactorial diseases such as cancer with agents that target a single target may lead to limited success and in many cases unsatisfactory results. Natural products play an important role in the discovery and development of numerous drugs for the treatment of various types of cancer. Most of the medicinal substances available today originate from natural sources but regardless of the current achievements the development of bioactive compounds and drugs from natural products still remains challenging. Research Purpose In comparison to the high cost and side effects of most modern drugs medical plants have demonstrated significant therapeutic potential with minimal side effects and low cost and we tried to to introduce these agents briefly in this study. Research Method A review of related articles in the NCBI and SCOPUS databases was conducted using the keywords solid tumor and phytochemicals. The final text was prepared after reviewing categorizing and summarizing related studies. Results and Conclusion For the treatment of cancer various natural substances are applied in preclinical and clinical settings. Various epidemiological studies have shown that regular consumption of fruits and vegetables is strongly associated with a reduced risk of cancer. The majority of natural medicines typically have an impact on multiple pathways (e.g. by inducing apoptosis or reducing cell proliferation etc.). Natural products multitarget capability enables them to effectively counteract the biological complication in cancer and provide helpful resources for cancer chemoprevention.
