چکیده
The main focus of this study is cross-linguistics influence of the L2 English, on the L1 Persian phonology. Some aspects of the present study involved influence of some non- native phonological aspects including intonation, stress, and chunking on L1. A quantitative study was conducted to provide statistical evidence of reverse transfer among 50 Iranian students categorized in three groups namely B1, B2, and C1 learning L2 English. The control group included 25 Iranian students with A1-A2 level of English Language. Offering some important pedagogical implications for teaching language learners, this study would suggest that knowledge of second language might adversely affect L1 at the level of phonology. It also argues that cases of phonological reverse transfer are more frequent in higher levels of L2.کليدواژه ها
