Second Language Acquisition: Investigating Naturalistic/Instructed Second Language Acquisition, Theories and Factors Affecting SLA

چکیده
The present paper deals with providing a scat review of Naturalistic/Instructed Second Language Acquisition, Theories and Factors Affecting SLA. This article introduce second language acquisition (SLA) as a scientific discipline studying how human beings obtain a second language. The term ‘second language acquisition’ alludes to the learning of a language which is nonnative after acquiring our first language (L1) either in a naturalistic situation or in a formal classroom context. This article before anything else, provide review of two opposing extremes in the field i.e. second language acquisition and second language learning, clarifies and discriminates between terminologies frequently used in this discipline. Afterwards, it overviews the dominant SLA theories and inspects the key factors that may influence acquisition. Finally, this paper will review the current trends of SLA.کليدواژه ها
