چکیده

The impact of team teaching on Willingness to communicate and vocabulary knowledge of EFL class in Azad University of Kerman Sara Lashkari ; Leila Anjomshoa MA in Teaching English, Kerman Branch, Islamic Azad University , Kerman, Iran PhD in Teaching English, Kerman Branch ,Islamic Azad University , Kerman, Iran Abstract Abstract Humans have always been dependent to their languages. In fact, language plays an important role in the relationships between different countries. Hence, many attempts have been made through history in order to investigate the methods and approaches that can facilitate language learning. In this regard, one recently novel approach is the use of more than one teacher in the class. This teaching approach is known as team teaching. There are many questions and doubts about the influence of team teaching on students ability to learn better. One aspect of learning is willingness to communicate (WTC) and vocabulary knowledge. The aim of the current study is to investigate the influence of team teaching on vocabulary knowledge and WTC. To do so, a number of 76 Azad University English students were selected and randomly assigned as control and experimental group. The experimental group was taught through team teaching, during which in addition to the main teacher, the researcher was helping as an assistant teacher. The data of this study were collected using post-test, pre-test and WTC questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics (independent and paired t-test). The results showed that team teaching had no significant influence on WTC (P-Value =0.9). In addition, the results proved that team teaching had no significant influence on participants’ vocabulary knowledge (, p>0.05). Keywords: WTC, vocabulary knowledge, team teaching, EFL
