چکیده

Statement of Problem Nettle (utritica diotica L.) is one of the plants that has been used in the treatment of many disorders since ancient times. Research Purpose The purpose of this study was to investigate the specific effects of nettle (utritica diotica L.) on libido disorders from the perspective of Persian medicine and its evidence in classical medicine. Research Method In this review study books in the field of Persian medicine and classic medicine databases were explored. Information was collected by searching Persian medicine books in field of Libido disorders and nettle plant. Also a systematic and comprehensive search was conducted in PubMed Science Direct and Google Scholar databases with related keywords. Results and Conclusion Nettle is one of the widely used plants in traditional Iranian medicine. Based on Text books of Persian medicine the nature of this plant is hot and dry. In most of the reference texts of traditional medicine the strong effect of this plant on sexual desire has been emphasized. In text books of Al-Adawieh Al-Shalim Qanun and Al-Abniyyah is referred that oral consumption of nettle is extremely Increased libido. In addition the local consumption of this plant and the use of its oil have been considered effective in this regard. However with a comprehensive search in classical medicine databases it was found any study that conducted in this field. it seems that Conducting research in this field is useful to investigate this topic.
